Hollinshead Barn
It was Dean and Lily Hollinshead's dream to have the family homestead preserved as a park for the community of Bend. Since 1939 the Hollinshead family owned this working homestead in Northeast Bend. In 1983 the 16.5 acre site was deeded to the District for the entire community to enjoy.
The jewel in the crown is the completely renovated Hollinshead Barn, which retains all the charm of its historic origins while providing an accommodating site for modern events. Kitchen, patio deck, propane barbecue, outdoor benches and interior air conditioning give you the flexibility to hold any type of event in any kind of weather.
The two floors (32' x 38' each) can accommodate a total of 125 guests. Handicapped access is provided to both floors. Tables and chairs are provided on each floor. A small kitchen with house-hold style refrigerator and stove allow food preparation for small groups, while a large propane barbecue provides additional cooking on the outdoor patio.
The barn is surrounded by open pastures and orchard-like groves of trees. It is a historic farm right inside the city!
For reservation and/or price information call Reservation Central at our District office, 389-7275. Reservations are taken up to one year in advance of the event date. Friday, Saturday and Sunday space fills quickly.
