This community park is conveniently located in an older
neighborhood in south central Bend, near Bear Creek grade
school. The ball field hosts adult softball and youth soccer
games during the spring, summer and fall. Additional amenities
include a fitness trail, playground, natural open space,
restrooms and limited off street parking. A popular new
addition to the park is the Ponderosa Skate Park. Skate board
enthusiasts can be found there from dawn to dusk almost every
day of the year. Even if you don't participate in the sport,
the facility is worth a visit to watch the talented skaters.
Ponderosa Park is located next to a high school soccer field.
On many afternoons in the fall parking is difficult to
find...we recommend you carpool or use alternative
transportation when ever you are visiting this popular
park.
