Volunteers for Parks and Trails

aspenbridge.jpgHelp keep our parks and trails beautiful and safe!

Volunteers help with managing litter, raking leaves and spreading bark, planting, and special projects. Most of all, volunteers play an essential role in helping keep parks and trails safe and clean by reporting vandalism, graffiti and other issues that impact safety or the public's enjoyment.

Adopt-a-Park
A neighborhood or community group, business, school, or family can adopt their favorite park. The group agrees to visit the park regularly to help pick up litter, pull noxious weeds and to report any concerns to our park maintenance staff. Volunteers may also assist with projects such as planting and maintenance. Groups are asked to commit to caring for the park for one year and to complete monthly park reports.

Adopt-a-Trail
Individuals or groups can adopt a section of Bend's urban trail system. Volunteers are asked to walk the trail on a regular basis and help with keeping litter and noxious weeds under control. Volunteers also help with trail maintenance projects with our park services team. Adopting volunteers are asked to commit to caring for the trail for one year and to complete monthly trail reports.
