Juniper Park Parking Addition
Construction: May 2008 to May 2009
The Juniper Swim and Fitness Center was remodeled in 2006 adding both capacity and quality to the aquatic and fitness programs offered. The increased participation has put a stress on the existing parking lots serving the park and additional parking is strongly desired by both the Fitness Center and Community Park customers.
An on-site tree and contour survey is being conducted to identify places where parking can be expanded without detriment to the natural character of the park. A goal of adding approximately 60 spaces has been identified and the planning and design staff will be preparing design development concepts through the fall of 2007. Construction may be phased through 2008 to minimize disruption to on-going programs and park use.
