Inclusion

trweb4.jpgInclusion

BPRD strives to provide an inclusive approach to recreation. Inclusion is individuals with and without disabilities participating in recreation activities simultaneously. In order for individuals with disabilities to participate as fully as possible, reasonable accommodations are provided. Reasonable accommodations are individualized techniques and resources used to enhance program participation without fundamentally altering the program. Inclusion makes it possible for individuals to choose from the vast array of programs offered by BPRD.

To request inclusion services for you or your child, please contact Cheryl Kelley, TR Program Coordinator at 541-706-6121 or Cheryl@bendparksandrec.org

We ask that you contact us at least one week prior to the start of the program.

Kid’s Inc:  Before and after school programs are located at local elementary schools for children attending grades K-5.  KIDS INC has a great staff, dedicated to the care and safety of children. Summer Programs for Kids

Operation Recreation: Operation Recreation meets the needs of the working parent and the fun seeking child! During the school year this program operates on non-school days for kindergarten through 5th grade. During the summer the program operates daily for children entering 1st – 4th grade. Children enjoy a variety of enrichment activities and daily field trips.

Endless Summer Camp: This end of the summer camp is for children in grades 1-5. Kids will enjoy games, crafts, morning field trips, and then afternoons spent at a local park or the Juniper swimming pool.

Clubhouse: This summer day camp program is for kids entering grades 5-6. Kids will learn new games, play sports, cook and create art and music, swim and hike some. Campers will take daily explorations that lead to a variety of sites throughout Central Oregon. Check out the weekly themes and sign up for a day, week, or the entire summer.

Cougar Camp: Cougar camp is one of Bend’s favorite summer camps located at Shevlin Park. This camp is for kids entering grades 3-6. The outdoor setting, camp crafts, new skits and games will keep your child in love with the great outdoors! Activities include: hiking, biking, swimming, crafts, games, and nature studies.
