Get moving and feel great with more than 50+ fitness classes at Bend Senior Center. With classes throughout the day and a variety of activities to choose from, there’s something for everyone. Classes available for both ages 50+ and ages 18+

Choose between our regular weekly, drop-in Weekly Fitness Classes or our Specialty Fitness and Wellness Classes.

Mind Body 

In yoga, unite mind, body and breath while increasing flexibility and strength. Yoga classes often include an intention, meditation, chanting and focused breathing techniques, all to guide you on your own personal journey. Pilates is a refreshing workout designed to strengthen the core. Gain long, lean muscles and flexibility through an evenly conditioned body. Tai Chi could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life. Tai Chi is often described as “meditation in motion,” but it might well be called “medication in motion.” Flowing poses lead to better balance and overall energy.

Functional Fitness

Functional fitness classes are designed to improve the ways in which we physically move in our everyday lives. Seated and standing exercises that work all major muscles and joints are specifically selected to enhance independent living skills, aimed to ease performing activities of daily living. These classes are offered in our drop-in Weekly Fitness Schedule or as a registration class as indicated.

The Bend Senior Center is proud to be an AARP “The Best in You”, Sliver Sneakers and Silver & Fit Facility. These programs provide eligible members with no-cost or low-cost fitness memberships through arrangements with certain health care plans. These benefit programs are designed to help seniors achieve better health through regular exercise and health education. Contact your Medicare Advantage Health Plan to see if you qualify.
