Art Station: Art Education & Play

Art Plays On . . . .

In August 2016, the Art Station and the classes held there faced an unknown future. The non-profit organization, Arts Central, which ran the facility and offered art programs for several decades had dissolved.

With community recreation at its core, the Bend Park and Recreation District saw the need to continue the legacy of providing quality art education, instructors and play in Bend and has committed to restarting the programs. After a short hiatus, the Art Station re-opened its doors in late October and once again offers classes for youth, adults and families.

Programs feature a variety of mediums including:

  • painting
  • printing
  • sculpture
  • jewelry
  • glass arts
  • ceramics
  • pottery
  • textiles
  • mixed media

In addition to classes, the Art Station has open studio times and opportunities for parties or groups. Click here to see all the Art Station programs available: Current Art Station Programs
