Winter Storm Update

Due to current winter weather conditions, the District will update facility closures and program cancellations regularly.

Last updated Jan. 17, 7:31 pm. Check back regularly.

CANCELLATIONS:

Wednesday, January 18: Most Bend schools are back in session. Check Bend-La Pine Schools website for comprehensive list of open schools.

Wednesday, January 18: KIDS INC is offered if your school is open. List of closed schools is below.

Wednesday, January 18: Sports activities and other programs at open schools (excluding KIDS INC) to be determined in the morning of Jan. 18th. Please check back regularly.

Wednesday, January 18: All Enrichment Wednesday programs cancelled due to full-day of school.

Wednesday, January 18: All BPRD school-based programs including KIDS INC and sports are cancelled at the following schools which are CLOSED for Wednesday:

Elk Meadow Elementary School
Lava Ridge Elementary School
Miller Elementary School
Pacific Crest Middle School
Pilot Butte Middle School
Pine Ridge Elementary School
Ponderosa Elementary School
REALMS Middle School

January 19 – 20: All BPRD school-based programs including KIDS INC and sports are pending cancellation at the above 8 schools.

January 19 – 22: Sports activities at open schools to be determined. Please check back regularly.

Thursday, January 19: Girls middle school basketball is being held as scheduled.

All BPRD recreation facilities are operating normal hours.
This includes Bend Senior Center, Juniper Swim & Fitness Center and The Pavilion.

Check facility schedules before leaving to attend.

Looking for something active to do with the kids today? Get out of the cold and swing by Juniper for open recreation swimming from 1pm - 3pm today. Water basketball, rope swing, inner tubes, mats and other toys are available. Open to all ages!

Amanda WoldThey only had the concern after the gym roof collapsed, why were the roofs not checked on the day they said school closed for snow removal
