Get moving and feel great with more than 80 fitness classes at Bend Senior Center. With classes throughout the day and a variety of activities to choose from, there’s something for everyone. The Bend Senior Center is a health, fitness and community recreation facility open to people of all ages and abilities.

Fitness Center

Get inspired, be active and stay engaged! A Senior Center basic pass gets you anytime access to cardio, fitness, strength and conditioning equipment in the gym. Customize your workout with  VECTRA, Multi-station fitness system, hand weights, cardio equipment and stationary bikes. Learn more.

Fees & Passes: Use your Drop-In or Full-Access Fitness Pass. No registration required. Get unlimited classes with a Full-Access Pass for just $10 more a month than the Basic Pass. Fitness passes through health plans? Ask us how.

Class Etiquette

In Group Exercise, like all social settings, common courtesy calls for sensitivity to others. Please follow these etiquette guidelines when participating in group exercise classes.

  • Please enter on time or a bit early. The warm up is a Key component of class and we don’t want you to miss out on it!
  • Please avoid heavy scents and perfumes.
  • Please shower and launder clothing before class.
  • Please no chewing gum.
  • Place cell phones and beepers in the off position.
  • Please avoid smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol before class.
  • Please keep class conversation to a minimum – this demonstration of respect to your instructor and fellow classmates provides an opportunity for all to hear the instructor’s direction and flow through the workout.
  • Be courteous to your fellow classmates.
  • Be ready to adjust your space for others.
  • Be sure that your, um, private parts are appropriately covered.

All Classes are first come first serve. Please check with your physician before beginning any exercise program. If you have any medical considerations (recent surgeries, knee, neck or back problems, etc.), be sure to inform your teacher beforehand. Please note that instructors may use both physical assists as well as verbal cues to help students attain proper form, alignment and position. Please notify the instructor before class begins if you do not want to be touched. You are encouraged to bring and drink water throughout your workout. Thank you for attending and enjoy your workout!

Fitness Center Orientation
Designed to give you the basic skills to use the cardio and strength equipment safely and effectively. We strongly recommend attending an orientation before using the fitness center and in some cases it may be required. Fitness center trainings are offered weekly and are free.

Get Started with Fitness 101
Whether you are new to fitness or making a return, our expansive schedule of classes offer something for everyone! All our fitness classes are ongoing and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Fit4U Fitness Programs
Fit4U! Specially designed for those wanting a lower impact and light intensity workout as well as those ages 50+, these exercise classes offer something for every fitness level - from just starting out to a regular fitness enthusiast! Increase your mobility, strength, cardio endurance, flexibility and core stability. Not only will you improve and maintain your fitness, you’ll make friends and have fun! We offer these classes in Indoor Cycling, Strength & Conditioning, Mind & Body, Water Exercise and Therapeutic Fitness.

We have a diverse group of trainers to help you achieve success with many services beyond traditional weight training and the flexibility to meet your needs.

Individual Training Rates: Introductory Session:
Introductory Session: $75
Single Session: $60
Mini Consultation: $25 (30-minutes)
3-Session Package: $171 ($57 each)
6-Session Package: $324 ($54 each)

 

Partner Training Rates per person:

Looking for personalized instruction in one of BPRD’s classes? Want to hone in an advanced movement or a specific area of fitness? Private classes are perfect for focusing on you. Our highly-trained instructors offer private and semi-private sessions in all listed Yoga, Pilates, Indoor Cycling, Water Fitness, Strength & Conditioning and Cardio classes. Session can be shared with a partner of like abilities and goals.
