Youth flag football referees needed

The Bend Park and Recreation District is looking for referees for the 2018 Fall Youth Flag Football season.
Anyone interested must attend a mandatory meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Park District Office, 799 SW Columbia St.
Potential applicants must enjoy working with youth and be able to create a positive, encouraging environment. Although prior referee experience is not required, all referees must have football knowledge, and pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Applicants must be at least 14 years of age.
Pay rates vary from $12 to $18 per game. Games are played on Sundays from Sept. 16 through Nov. 4.
Referees are an essential part of the program. Potential applicants must enjoy working with youth and be able to create a positive, encouraging environment.
