With so many people enjoying our community’s parks and trails, the park district launched a stewardship program in 2014. The aim of the program is to provide park visitors with information on park resources and opportunities as well as to foster appropriate park use, making parks and trails safer for all to enjoy. As part of this mission, they also manage public events in our parks. Whether working with park visitors one-on-one or at a large community event, stewards are always trying to build positive relationships with citizens and enhance connectivity with the District.
A division of Park Services, the stewardship program consists of a stewardship manager, public events coordinator, events specialist, three stewards and a skatepark ambassador. In addition, the team is supported by Bend Patrol Services.
