Juniper Swim and Fitness Center is open.

JSFC is an active construction site. The north parking lot is closed at 6th street. For safety, access only from the south entrance off NE Franklin Avenue and NE 7th Street for reservation activities.

What you need to know before attending:

Bend Park & Recreation District offers two swim and fitness facilities, multiple recreation and fitness formats and a ton of activities. See each facility below for details.

Fees & Passes: Single visit fee and limited drop-in sessions available. Learn more about reservations and pricing.

Note: During inclement weather or poor air quality, be sure to check schedules regularly for possible cancellations or location changes.

Situated in the heart of beautiful Juniper Park, our community health and fitness facility has the amenities, services and location to make your heartbeat a little faster. All ages and abilities welcome.

Fitness and Water Features:

  • NEW – online reservations
  • Fitness Center with cardio, strength and free weight equipment – Drop-Ins Available
  • Fit, Indoor Cycling, Group Exercise and Yoga Studios.
  • Indoor/Outdoor Olympic 50-Meter Pool with 80-degree water temperature.
  • Indoor 25-Meter Pool with 85-degree water, 3.5 – 12 foot water depth, 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards. (Not currently available)
  • Indoor Children’s Pool with shallow water, duck-shaped slide, squirting fish fountain and warm 90-degree water. (Not currently available)
  • Hot Tub, Dry Sauna & Steam Room: These coed amenities are perfect for post-workout relaxation. Ages: 16 & up. (Not currently available)
  • Pool and fitness locker rooms and changing rooms accommodate all facility users. (Not currently available)
  • Wi-Fi & Lounge Areas with free wireless internet service. (Not currently available)

Juniper Swim & Fitness Center Fees & Passes

Juniper is perfectly fit for you. Owned and operated by Bend Park & Recreation District, Juniper Swim & Fitness Center is a state of the art facility with a variety of quality fitness and aquatic programs. It’s a community health, fitness and recreation facility open to people of all ages and abilities.

A per-visit fee will be charged at the time of registration to reserve your spot. These fees are lower than our pre-pandemic drop-in rates and similar to the 10-visit pass rate. Payment is non-refundable.

Reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance and until 15 minutes prior to session start, based on availability.

Cancellations Policy for Reservations: You can receive a full credit for reservations cancelled 24 hours or more in advance. The credit can be used for future reservations of any park and recreation district activity. Cancellations can be made online or by calling customer service at (541) 389-7275. No credit or refund will be issued if cancelled less than 24 hours in advance of the reservation.

Out-of-District Fee Policy: Residents who live outside of the Bend Park and Recreation District are encouraged to participate in all facilities and programs. Out of district residents do not pay property taxes that support the district and will be charged an additional 20% for programs and facility passes. If you need help determining if you live inside the district boundaries, call us at 389-7275. We also have a District Map and you can simply put in your address and it will indicate if you live within the district boundaries.

COVID-Related Fitness Pass Changes

Regular passes (monthly, quarterly, annual and 10-visit) are not valid during this modified operation period due to the need to limit capacity and in recognition of the added operational expenses related to meeting OHA guidelines for capacity and cleaning procedures.

All regular facility passes remain on hold until less restricted operations resume. Passes will be extended for the number of days that were remaining at the time JSFC closed on March 16. In appreciation of passholders loyalty, BPRD will add a bonus extension of 1 week for monthly passes, 3 weeks for quarterly passes, and 6 weeks for annual passes. If you prefer, we can also issue a credit for the prorated value remaining on your current pass and you can apply this to the temporary per visit registration fees or toward the new Frequent-User Monthly Pass.

District Refund Policy

Passes, Memberships, Personal Training and Drop In Fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. We are unable to extend or suspend a pass due to personal circumstances.

Program registrations: Refunds or credits are readily granted if we are notified seven days prior to the beginning of the program. Credits will only be granted if notified less than seven days prior to beginning of the program. No credits or refunds will be issued when notified two working days or less from the start of a program. Program fees are not refunded/prorated for participants who miss portions of programs.

Program fees are not refunded/ prorated for participants who miss portions of programs.

Informed Consent/Participant Release

The following language is provided to participants, or the parent/guardian of any participants, of District events, activities and programs.

By registering for the above activities, I, the participant or the parent/guardian of the above named participant understand the possibility of injuries resulting from the activities indicated above or other activities sponsored by the Bend Park and Recreation District (“District”). I hereby acknowledge and accept all risks and hazards incidental to participation in such activities. I hereby release, absolve, indemnify and hold harmless the District and its directors, employees and agents from any injury, whether to person or property, of the participant resulting from such activities. In case of personal injury to participant, I hereby waive any and all claims against the District, its directors, employees and agents. I understand there is no insurance coverage provided by District for participant and that such coverage constitutes a responsibility of the participant and/or the undersigned. I hereby release from liability and waive any and all claims against any person who, on behalf of District, is involved in the transportation of participant in connection with District activities. I hereby consent to emergency medical treatment of participant to assure prompt treatment and prevention of undue delay, and I understand that such treatment may be provided by either a licensed physician or trained emergency care technician. I agree that the District may use, reproduce, disclose and distribute participant’s name and/or likeness for District marketing purposes. I acknowledge that I have read, fully understand and accept the above provisions and I recognize that the District is relying on such acceptance in permitting participant to engage in District activities.

There are two fitness pass options for insurance-reimbursed fitness programs, including:

  • Silver & Fit
  • Silver Sneakers
  • AARP Renew Active

Option One: No Cost
Eligible programs will include unlimited access to the fitness center, virtual classes and workout-on-your-own sessions, including Cycle on Your Own.

Option Two: Low Cost
For $19 per month, patrons may upgrade their no-cost pass to gain additional, unlimited access to lap swimming and all fitness classes, including water classes.

How to renew medicare-reimbursed passes:

Renewing with the Same Provider: If you had a fitness pass through a select Medicare Advantage health plan in 2020, please call your health insurance provider to get your fitness eligibility number for 2021 so that we may update our records.

New Pass or New Provider: If you have a new health insurance provider or are getting started for the first time, you will want to contact your provider to determine eligibility.

If you are eligible and once you have your eligibility/fitness number, complete your enrollment form by either:

  • Complete an electronic form at: www.bendparksandrec.org/medicareform.
  • Print the PDF enrollment form to and either mail or hand deliver the completed form to customer service at the District Office, 799 SW Columbia St., Bend, OR. 97702. For hand delivers, place envelopes in the black USPS mailbox at the front (south facing) entrance, to the left of the entrance.

After 1 – 2 days, you will be contacted to set up your pass.
