Live Well, Age Well Expo | June 9, 2026

The Pavilion | All Ages | Free

You’re invited to join Bend Park and Recreation District for a free, fun-filled afternoon focused on your health. We will have health and wellness providers offering free massages, spinal health screenings, blood pressure checks, vein screenings, grip stength testing, balance assessments, community resources, raffles and more. Enjoy live music and BPRD fitness class demonstrations.

Previously named the ‘For the Health of It!’ Health & Wellness Fair and held at Larkspur Community Center, this year’s event has a new name and temporary location at The Pavilion due to construction at Larkspur Park.

Roller Pride | June 26, 27 & 28

The Pavilion | Ages vary

  • Live DJs including DJ Teafly on Friday and Sunday and a DJ on Saturday will be at this skate and dance party not to be missed!
  • A dance party celebrating Pride and community with roller skating, music and good fun. The beats will be on, the fire pits going and the disco ball shining!
  • Friday night event, 7:30 – 10:00 p.m., is all ages; Saturday night event, 7:30 – 10:00 p.m., is age 18+; and Sunday afternoon event, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., is Family Skate for all ages children with adults.
  • Friday/Saturday Fees: $10.00 Adult (19 – 64) | $9.00 Older Adult (65 – 79) | $8.00 Youth (3 – 18) and Honored Citizen (80+) | Under 3 free.
  • Sunday Family Skate Fee: $8.00/person including skate rental.
  • Skate rental: $4.00

Dalmations at Pet Parade

4th of July Pet Parade | Downtown Bend

All ages | Free

In partnership with the City of Bend, the July 4th Pet Parade is a community tradition since 1924 and it’s now designated as an Oregon Heritage tradition.

  • Parade Lineup at Harmon Park begins: 8:30 a.m.
  • Parade begins: 9:30 a.m.
  • Ends at Drake Park

Parade in costume with your pet or stuffed animal on pulled wagons, bikes or trikes or watch all the action on the new parade route.

Summer Community Celebration | Summer 2026

Enjoy fun, interactive activities provided by Bend Park and Recreation District as well as other community organizations. There will be music, entertainment, treats and much more to contribute to an evening of summer fun!

Kids Triathlon | Summer 2026

Juniper Swim & Fitness Center | Ages 4 – 14 | August 23

Swim! Bike! Run! Do a triathlon! The swimming portion of this non-timed event will be held in the safety of a supervised pool.

  • The mountain biking and running portions will be held in Juniper Park.
  • The event focuses on sportsmanship and making new friends. All abilities are welcome.
  • Build your skills and get ready for the race by signing up for one of the four weekly clinics.

Kids Triathlon Event Details



Race Lengths:

  • 4 – 6 year olds:  25 meter swim, 1/3 mile bike, 400 yard run
  • 7 – 9 year olds:  50 meter swim, 1 mile bike, 800 yard run
  • 10 – 12 year olds:  100 meter swim, 1.5 mile bike, 1 mile run
  • 13 – 14 year olds:  200 meter swim, 2 mile bike, 1.5 mile run

Movies in the Park has concluded for 2025. Please check back next summer.

Nothing beats a movie under the stars! Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and snacks and join us in the parks each summer for the annual Movies in the Park event series. Brought to you in partnership with BendFilm.

  • Enjoy games and craft fun starting at 6:00 p.m.
  • Movies begin at 7:00 p.m.
  • Spanish-speaking staff on site.
  • No alcohol; no glass.

Pavilion-Palooza | September

Pavilion-Palooza is back and even better – it’s FREE!

Pavilion-Palooza is a fun-filled afternoon with roller skating, skatepark features, music by DJ Teafly, drums and hula performance by Hokule’a of Central Oregon, art and sports activities and more.

Hosted by the Bend Park & Recreation Foundation, the event is free thanks to Old Mill Studio Vacation Rental, a generous community sponsor. Your donations and purchase of food, beverages and raffle tickets at the event help support the recreation scholarship program, offering people in our community access to BPRD recreation programs and opportunities.

Free Advance Tickets: Available at SignUp Genius

  • Includes all activities and skate rentals as available.
  • Skate rental availability is limited. Bring your skates if you have them.
  • Skateboards and scooters with helmets welcome in skatepark. Sorry, no bikes.
  • Food and beverages available for purchase.
  • Free lemonade and cookies offered by Bend Park and Recreation Foundation.
  • Blankets and chairs welcome for lawn area.
  • Tickets available at the door if space available.

Homecoming Dance | October

Larkspur Community Center | Adults 18+ | $12 Tickets

Dust off that letterman jacket and get out your dancing shoes! We’re hosting Homecoming Dance in the Community Room at Larkspur! We’ll have a live band, snacks and punch, and lots of fun activities. Bring your sweetheart or “go stag.” Who says you have to be a teenager to enjoy Homecoming?

Tickets for 2025 are $12 per person and can be purchased through the front desk or online starting September 1.

Winter Solstice Celebration | December 2026

The Pavilion | All ages | Date to be determined

Bend Park and Recreation District’s ice rink will celebrate the shortest day of the year with a Winter Solstice Celebration. With twinkling lights to welcome winter’s delights, ice skaters will enjoy treats and a special figure skating performance by Bend Ice Figure Skating Club.

Special Admission with Food Donation Details



Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for NeighborImpact to receive a special $7 admission price including skate rental. NeighborImpact’s Food Bank welcomes any non-perishable food donations, but especially needs these nutritious foods: pasta, canned vegetables, canned tuna, canned fruit, soups and ready to eat meals.

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner & Dance | March 2027

Larkspur Community Center | Adults 18+ | March

Join us for our St. Patrick’s Day Dinner & Dance! Tickets will go on sale before this festive spring celebration which will feature a traditional St. Patty’s Day buffet including corned beef and cabbage with all the fixings prepared by the executive chef at Whispering Winds Retirement. After dinner, we’ll dance the night away to the Notables Swing Band.

  • Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
  • Dinner served 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
  • Dancing 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Advance tickets are $15.00/person and available at Larkspur reception desks or online on the BPRD registration website. This fun evening can sell out so get your tickets early!
