Volunteers

cairn_terrier_bob-wenger-memoriam.gifShare your talents and make a difference! Volunteer with Bend Park & Recreation District.

We invite you to become part of our team. Volunteers are valuable partners in providing exceptional park & recreation services for the community. Each year, over 2,500 people contribute their time, enthusiasm, and talent to caring for parks & trails, assisting with recreation programs and helping with special events. Our goal is to match your interests and skills with opportunities that support the needs of our programs and services.  Whether you have one day to contribute or want to help out every week, we want your volunteer experience to be rewarding and fun!

You can explore ideas for volunteering at the links at left. You can also check out a list of current volunteer opportunities at https://register.bendparksandrec.org.

Volunteers of all ages can get involved. Age requirements vary by opportunity. Volunteers under 12 can assist with events and projects if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

To volunteer, complete and return a volunteer application and criminal history check form (for volunteers age 18 and over).  You will be contacted by the volunteer coordinator to answer any questions. If there is an opportunity that is the right fit for you, we will schedule an orientation and get you started!
