Alcohol in Parks: Alcohol is allowed in most parks with the proper permits. Those wishing to have and/or consume alcohol in a BPRD park must obtain an alcohol permit for their group. If you plan on providing and/or serving alcohol at your private event, you will need to provide the district with a certificate of insurance naming BPRD as additionally insured for $2 million general liability insurance per occurence. Alcohol permits are issued at the District Office 799 SW Colmbia St. or call us at (541) 389-7275 for more information. (District Office is open Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm).

Business in Parks: Parks are places for people to enjoy a wide range of activities.  Restricting commercial influence in parks allows for the widest breadth of opportunities for people to enjoy their park experience. Commercial solicitation is not allowed in parks, including verbal solicitation or distribution of print materials or posting of signs.

The operation of commercial business on public parkland is limited to:

  • Operating as vendor in a sanctioned public event.
  • Operating under contract with BPRD to address a public need such as safety.
  • Conducting business in a rented park shelter for invited guests.
  • Operating under permit to provide a program or camp to invited guests.

Thank you for keeping parks enjoyable for all.
