Finance Department
Bend Metro Park and Recreation District is a special district formed in 1974, when it separated from the City of Bend. The District has its own taxing authority, is governed by a five member elected Board of Directors, and is managed by a professional staff.
The Bend Metro Park and Recreation District Finance Department's priority is to ensure sound and sustainable financial management and planning deserving of the public's trust.
Financial functions are centralized for efficiency and to ensure compliance with legal and professional requirements. Staff provide strategic management of the District's finances and perform functions necessary to conduct the financial business of the organization. Financial services include:
