Deschutes County Community Support & Healing Event
Deschutes County Health Services, St. Charles Health System and Bend-La Pine Schools are partnering to offer two free community support events Friday, Oct. 16, following the tragedy at Silver Rail Elementary.
The walk-in events are open to students, families, school staff and community members affected by the tragedy. Trained crisis response professionals will provide emotional support, facilitate small-group discussions, offer guidance on talking with children about traumatic events and connect participants with additional resources.

Deschutes Public Library, Central Library

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Larkspur Community Center
1600 SE Reed Market Road, Bend
4 to 7 p.m.
Both events are free, and no registration is required.
