Toss it up.

It has been called many things – Corn Toss, Bean Bag, Bean Toss, Soft Horseshoes, and Indiana Horseshoes – but to many of us the game is passionately known as Cornhole. If you can toss a corn bag 30 feet, then come play! Enjoy summer evenings with friends and family playing one of Bend’s favorite past times with a local brewery on site for Pints N’ Play.

Fencing – Boys and Girls, Ages 9+

Learn to sword fight like an Olympic fencer. Fencing classes cover the basics of footwork, blade work and tactics so kids can have fun challenging their opponents and themselves.

Adult Golf League – Ages 21+
– Season: June – July

Teams of four play nine holes in a scramble format.

Adult Golf Lessons – Ages 17+
This group lesson series is designed for the beginner or anyone interested in improving their game.  Instruction will focus on full swing, stance, grip, putting, club selection, and golf etiquette. Maximum student to teacher ratio is 8:1.  Bring your own clubs or we will provide equipment if needed.

Open to all experience (or inexperience) levels, our figure skating, broomball, curling and hockey programs give everyone the chance to learn and hone their skills. Space is limited, so register early!

Adult Hockey League | All Adults
– Season: November through March
– Registration: Beginning Fall

Teams enjoy our beautiful ice rink while playing regular season games. Teams will be seeded for the playoffs with league championships in March. Players are drafted onto teams and players must provide their own gear.

Adult Hockey Skills & Drills | All Adults
– Season: October through March

Beginner to intermediate players are welcomed learn to hockey skills and develop the fundamentals of the game. Hone in a particular skill, promote physical fitness and above all else have fun.

Adult Broomball League | All Adults
– Season: November – December
– Registration: Beginning Fall
What’s Broomball? The short answer is serious FUN! Founded in Canada, it’s a combination of hockey, minus the skating, and soccer played on ice. Teams consist of 8 – 15 players and games will be played 6 vs. 6.

Adult Curling League | All Adults
– Season: December – March
– Registration: Beginning Fall
Open to curlers of all experience (or inexperience) levels, our leagues give players the chance to learn and hone their skills. Games are played once a week and all equipment is provided. Space is limited, so register your team early!

Adult Learn to Skate | All Adults
– Season: October – March
– Registration: Beginning Fall
Come learn how to skate! Discover or re-discover your ice feet as you learn how to glide and develop your stroke. Practice balance, learn to stop and begin to advance in your skating technique.

Registered participants skate for free at Public Skate sessions Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Bend Park & Recreation offers Men’s and Coed recreational softball leagues for adults, ages 18 and older. It’s a fun league for players of all ages, abilities and skill levels. For all summer leagues, one team member for your team must attend the registration meeting. Meeting dates and times are below.

– Registration meeting: April 4, 6:45 pm
– Registration is by team
Teams will play without umpires or playoffs.

Coed Rec Softball League – Ages 18+
– Season: Mid-April – August
– Registration meeting: April 4, 6:00 pm
– Registration is by team
Teams are divided into A and B Leagues. Teams will play without umpires or playoffs.

Metro Softball Leagues

Bend Park & Recreation Metro Softball Leagues are competitive softball leagues for adults, ages 18 and older. For all summer leagues, one team member for your team must attend the registration meeting. Meeting dates and times are below.

Adult Tennis Lessons – All Adults

Join our USPTA trained staff for a summer of tennis fun. Our professionally trained staff will teach you the basics of the game as well as help you improve your game. We offer several sessions to choose from. USA Tennis I sessions focus on basic playing skills and court positioning. USA Tennis II sessions focus on continued skill development coupled with actual match experiences.

Pickleball – All Adults
– Season: May – September
– Register beginning in late March
Whether you’ve never played pickleball or are looking to step up your game, BPRD offers classes and clinics to get you moving on the court. Introduction sessions are available to help you learn all the basics from rules and scoring to court positioning and equipment. After one session, you’ll be ready for organized play. More advanced classes available for skill development and shot-making techniques.

Coed Quads Volleyball – 18+

This recreational league is held at The Pavilion on a men’s height net. Teams of 4, play “reverse” rules where male players cannot jump in front of the attack line.
