The park includes a half basketball court, play area, picnic shelter, paved trails and pathways, shaded lawn and preserved natural areas. There is also a small parking lot.
Purchased from the Bend Golf and Country Club in 2019, this property offered the district an opportunity to develop a neighborhood park in a long underserved area of Bend. Running between Parrell Road and the Bend Golf Club golf course, the property was a rugged space that offered unique design challenges and opportunities with its varying topography, rock outcroppings and mature trees.
The name Little Fawn was given to this park in recognition of the herd of deer that call it home, and is meant to evoke a sense of play and connection to the native flora and fuana of its environment.
