Giving opportunities abound this holiday season
November 24, 2025
Bend Park and Recreation District is offering several ways to support our community as well as give the gift of recreation this holiday season.
BPRD Holiday Food Drive
BPRD is once again hosting a community food drive to support the NeighborImpact food bank, helping provide much-needed food resources for numerous local food pantries and non-profit organizations.
Here’s how you can donate food:
- Donation barrels are at all BPRD recreation centers and the district office from December 1 to January 4.
- Drive-thru Food Drive Event – Larkspur Community Center | Saturday, December 13 – 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Online Food Drive – A new and convenient way to donate! You can purchase food items online starting at $5.00 that will go directly to NeighborImpact food pantry shelves. Be sure to list BPRD on your order and your items will be added to the BPRD tally.
- Winter Solstice Celebration at The Pavilion on Friday, December 19, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m., encourages participants to bring a non-perishable food donation in exchange for a special $8 fee for skating and an evening of winter fun.
- Needed food items are listed on NeighborImpact’s webpage.
Give the gift of fun with a BPRD gift certificate
BPRD gift certificates make a great gift, are available in any amount you choose and can be used for recreation center fees, snack items and/or recreation program registration. Gift certificates must be purchased in person at recreation centers or the district office.
Support recreation scholarships so everyone can play
Donations to the Bend Park and Recreation Foundation scholarship fund help people in our community with the resources needed to participate in recreation programs that improve health, increase confidence and independence and enrich lives. Your gift can support someone with paying for after school childcare, swim lessons, the opportunity to play on a team and much more. Learn more about Bend Park and Recreation Foundation and how your gift can make a difference for people in our community.
Other Giving Opportunities

Donation boxes are located at Juniper Swim and Fitness Center and Larkspur Community Center through December 15. Sponsored by Veterans of Central Oregon, Summit Health and other local organizations.
- Share the Warmth – Donate new or gently used coats, blankets and other warm winter necessities for local people in need. Donation bins are at The Pavilion, Juniper, district office and park services now – December 19. Sponsored by Windermere Realty and other local organizations.
Thank you for your support and contributions!
