Bend Park and Recreation District cancels registration programs through the weekend
Bend Park and Recreation District is canceling all recreation registration programs through the weekend, including youth soccer, flag football and swim lessons. Drop-in use will continue at Juniper Swim & Fitness Center and Larkspur Community Center. Cancellations are being communicated directly to patrons and posted on BPRD’s Delays and Cancellations webpage.
“The community is processing the tragedy that occurred, and we want to respect the needs of community members and our staff,” said Michelle Healy, executive director.
The system of parks, trails and drop-in use at recreation facilities are always available for community use.
“Time in nature and with others can be incredibly helpful in difficult times, and we hope these shared spaces provide comfort,” Healy added.
