The Development and Design Standards guide the district, developers, and contractors on the means, methods, and materials the district most commonly uses for the development of its parks, trails and facilities. The document does not replace construction documentation, but supplements and informs individual projects. For projects small in nature, these standards may be used for construction.

These standards are updated yearly, or as needed, with new products, means or methods of construction and other updates the district feels best align with community needs, such as new technology and products. The most recent update occurred January 2025.
