The most introspective art-form, self-portraits are a way to share who you are, how you want to be seen and what�??s important to you. In this class you will learn a bit about the history of self-portraits and discover some artists who are famous for their self-portraits. Every week we will learn about a new artist and use a different technique to convey our sense of self on the page. Learn how to create a one-of-a-kind block print. In this class, we use a reduction printing technique to produce multilayered and multicolored prints. Each layer builds on the last as we cut off the linoleum block to reveal the next color in our compositions. When done, the only thing left on our blocks will be the lines and shapes of the darkest color and we will have created unique prints that can never be reproduced. Instructor: Anastasia Zielinski.

"Manga" refers to comics and graphic novels created in Japan, but this style of comic is popular worldwide. To draw manga or illustrations in a manga style, we will practice sketching facial features, clothing styles, and other elements common to manga. We will also incorporate elements of "anime" -- Japanese animation -- into your drawings. Instructor: Chieko Saito.

Learn how to create a one-of-a-kind block print. In this class, we use a reduction printing technique to produce multilayered and multicolored prints. Each layer builds on the last as we cut off the linoleum block to reveal the next color in our compositions. When done, the only thing left on our blocks will be the lines and shapes of the darkest color and we will have created unique prints that can never be reproduced. Instructor: Anastasia Zielinski.

All levels are welcome to learn how to throw pots on the wheel. Follow the process of basic wheel throwing practice, trimming and glazing. Small class sizes will allow more one-on-one time with students to improve their skills. Instructor: Hunter Teig

In this class you will learn a bit about the history of installation art and discover some famous installation artists and their work! Let's Make An Installation

Ages: 14 & Up

Learn how to create a one-of-a-kind block print. In this class, we use a reduction printing technique to produce multilayered and multicolored prints. Each layer builds on the last as we cut off the linoleum block to reveal the next color in our compositions. When done, the only thing left on our blocks will be the lines and shapes of the darkest color and we will have created unique prints that can never be reproduced. Instructor: Anastasia Zielinski.
