Full-Time Positions

Full-Time Benefits

Employees receive:

    • Paid sick leave
    • Paid vacation, paid holidays (see below), and one paid personal day each year

    • Family Facility Pass for Juniper Swim & Fitness Center, The Pavilion and the Larkspur Community Center

    • Bend Park and Recreation District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which defined as working at least six months in an eligible position, employees will contribute 6% to their employee portion, which is called the Individual Account Program.

Part-Time Positions

Part-Time Benefited Positions

Employees receive:

    • Paid sick leave accrued at a rate of at least 1 hour per 30 hours worked
    • Paid vacation, paid holidays (see below), and one paid personal day each year
    • Opportunity to enroll in medical, dental and vision health insurance plans after one full pay period
    • Facility Pass for Juniper Swim & Fitness Center, The Pavilion and the Larkspur Community Center to use immediately. Pass is extended to family members after 6 months of employment
    • Discounts on many recreation programs. Discounts are extended to family member after 6 months of employment provided employee works at least 50 hours each month
    • Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that offers work-life counseling and family resources
    • Retirement benefits through PERS and Deferred Compensation Programs
    • Additional benefits may be available based on position

Part-Time & Seasonal Positions (non-benefited)

Employees receive:

    • Paid sick leave accrued at a rate of at least 1 hour per 30 hours worked
    • Facility Pass for Juniper Swim & Fitness Center, The Pavilion and the Larkspur Community Center to use immediately. Pass is extended to family members after 6 months of employment
    • Discounts on many recreation programs. Discounts are extended to family member after 6 months of employment provided employee works at least 50 hours each month
    • Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that offers work-life counseling and family resources

Other Information

HOLIDAYS

Full-Time employees and eligible part-time benefited employees receive the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day – January 1
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday – Third Monday in January
  • President’s Day – Third Monday in February
  • Memorial Day – Last Monday in May
  • Juneteenth – June 19
  • Independence Day – July 4
  • Labor Day – First Monday in September
  • Veteran’s Day – November 11
  • Thanksgiving Day – Fourth Thursday in November
  • Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day – December 25

DIRECT PAYROLL DEPOSIT

Employees are encouraged to have their paycheck deposited directly into their bank or credit union. Forms are available from Payroll or Human Resources.

OTHER BENEFITS

Employees may participate in the Mid-Oregon Federal Credit Union.
