Winter 2024 Registration Update

Bend Park and Recreation District’s Winter 2024 recreation program registration opened on Monday, December 4 at 6:00 a.m. and, unfortunately, online registration was challenging for many patrons. Issues included slow processing, dropped sessions and the need for multiple log-ins.

BPRD staff determined the cause and the issue was corrected around 8:45 a.m.

Registration function has returned to normal and the remaining Winter 2024 programs will open for registration as scheduled:

• Tuesday, December 5, 6:00 a.m.: Swim lessons and aquatics programs open.
• Wednesday, December 6, 6:00 a.m.: Winter and spring sports leagues open including adult curling, youth hockey, youth indoor soccer, youth lacrosse and youth softball leagues.

“This morning was not the high-quality customer experience the district aims to provide,” said Matt Mercer, Director of Recreation. “We’ve made important strides with improving the registration experience in the past twelve months, so we are greatly disappointed and offer our sincere apologies for any frustration this situation has caused. We will learn from this issue so that it does not happen again.”
