Bliss Dance

Phenomenal fun, serious sweat! A dance workout that fuses all dance genres in one class! Groove to hip hop, jazz, Latin, modern, lyrical, Middle Eastern and more

Bliss Dance 101

A 15-minute introduction to Bliss Dance. Instructor will give you a preview of the dance steps that will be included in the Bliss class that follows.

Bliss Hip Hop

Another great Bliss workout! High energy and music-fueled, this class delivers a fierce cardio-blast while dancing to the best hip hop, funk and club beats

Line Dance I

Designed for those that want to learn the basics, as well as progress further. Wide variety of music.

Line Dance – Intermediate

Designed for those that know the basics and want more of a challenge to fun music and steps. Please wear soft-soled shoes to class.

Cardio Dance

Mix it up and fuse it all together. Set to numerous genres of music. Various cardio dance formats offered.

Cardio Drumming

This fun class is a full-body cardio and core strengthening workout, complete with rhythmic drumming. We provide the drumsticks and the exercise ball.

Core Strength Cardio Challenge

Cardio-intense intervals, strength and functional training. Utilize weights, resistance bands and body bars for a full body workout.

F.I.T.

Fat-burning, Interval Training! This class is full of variety, challenge and FUN! Focus is on cardio intervals; step, kickboxing, cardio dance and sport drills.

Hiit Cardio Conditioning

High intensity cardio training at its best. Get ready to get sweaty!

Indoor Cardio Walking

Alternate cardio walking with toning for quick, safe fat-burning and body-toning results. Easy-to-follow video workouts without any complex or fancy footwork.

Zumba® takes the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high- intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise.

Zumba® Strength & Tone

Enjoy all the Zumba® steps and moves you know and love infused with targeted upper and lower body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work. Light-weight maraca style toning sticks and aerobic steps used.


Class Etiquette

In group exercise, like all social settings, common courtesy calls for sensitivity to others. Please follow these etiquette guidelines when participating in group exercise classes.

  • Enter on time or a bit early. The warm up is a key component of class and we don’t want you to miss out on it!
  • Avoid wearing heavy scents and perfumes.
  • Shower and launder clothing before class.
  • No chewing gum.
  • Place cell phones and beepers in the off position.
  • Avoid smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol before class.
  • Keep class conversation to a minimum – this demonstration of respect to your instructor and fellow classmates provides an opportunity for all to hear the instructor’s direction and flow through the workout.
  • Be courteous to your fellow classmates.
  • Be ready to adjust your space for others.
  • Be sure that your, um, private parts are appropriately covered.

Check with your physician before beginning any exercise program. If you have any medical considerations (recent surgeries, knee, neck or back problems, etc.), be sure to inform your teacher beforehand. Please note that instructors may use both physical assists as well as verbal cues to help students attain proper form, alignment and position. Please notify the instructor before class begins if you do not want to be touched. You are encouraged to bring and drink water throughout your workout. New Fall Drop-In Classes at Juniper Starting Oct. 1

FREE! Fitness Center Orientations, Tu/Thu 12:30 p.m.
Designed to give you the basic skills to use the cardio and strength equipment safely and effectively, orientations are strongly recommended. Fitness center trainings are free.

Cycle, T/Th 10:30 p.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Wide range of structured cycle workouts from endurance rides and hill climbs to sprints and race pace efforts. Music is specifically chosen to guide your effort and motivate your ride. You are encouraged to modify your ride at each class to meet your needs and your goals.

Baby & Me Cycle/Core, Thu 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Bring baby and get your workout in while you connect with other parents and guardians in a supportive community. You and baby will have the time and space to settle in and connect with each other and the instructor. Babies are welcome from 6 weeks to crawling. Strollers, car seats and bouncy seats encouraged. There is no cycle on your own available during this time.

Vinyasa Level 2/3, Wed 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Take your practice to the next level with this powerful flow class. Practice dynamic postures, move through challenging transitions, and experience the satisfaction of advanced sequencing. This class is designed for intermediate to advanced students with a very solid understanding of basic yoga postures who are becoming comfortable performing more advanced poses and have begun to master connection of breath with movement. Prior Vinyasa yoga experience is highly recommended.

Yoga Fundamentals, Th 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Learn to do yoga poses correctly and safely with an emphasis on alignment, proper muscle action and breathing techniques. This class moves at a slow pace and includes the instruction and tools to develop your yoga practice.

TRX Circuit, Wed 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Get a full-body workout utilizing TRX straps, dumbbells, and body weight, in this circuit-style workout.

Express Cycle, M/W 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.
Short on time? This is your class for a comprehensive workout as it's a regular workout condensed for time.

Zumba Strength & Tone, Th 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy all the Zumba® steps and moves you know and love infused with targeted upper and lower body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work. The use of light-weight maraca style toning sticks and aerobic steps create a calorie-torching, strength-training, dance fitness-party.

Barre Body, Th 5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
Conditioning class utilizing small, precisely controlled body movements to challenge, tone and define muscles. Core strength and balance improve as the exercises constantly reinforce proper body alignment and posture.

Zumba en Español, Mon/Wed 6:45 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.
We’re excited to add Zumba en Español with Perla Ruiz to our drop-in fitness schedules at Juniper Swim and Fitness Center, beginning in October! This spicy (?) class will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:45-7:45pm. Bring the kiddos and let them enjoy our recreation swim (insert rec swim link here) while you dance your heart out!

F.I.T., Sun 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
F.I.T. – Fat-burning, High Intensity Interval Training! This class is full of variety, challenge and FUN! Cardio intervals; step, kickboxing, cardio dance and sport drills alternating with muscle conditioning.

New Fall Drop-In Classes at Larkspur Starting Oct. 1

Qi Gong, Mon 9:00 a.m. - 9:50 a.m.
A holistic system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and well-being.

Warm Water Wellbeing, Mon/Wed 2:00 p.m. - 2:50 p.m.
This is a warm-water, therapeutic exercise class specifically designed to work with people that have chronic health conditions, like Parkinson’s, Diabetes, Spinal Dysfunction, Heart Disease and COPD. We recommend checking with your physician before starting any exercise regimen. Water shoes are required. You are encouraged to bring a support person, or caregiver, should you need assistance in the water.

Moving to Music, Tu 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
A lively, fun chair exercise class with upbeat, varied music to help you move more freely and without pain. Program designed by the Arthritis Foundation.

Walk & Tone, Tu/Th 9:00 a.m. - 9:50 a.m.
Total body workout that includes a gentle cardio warmup, invigorating indoor track cardio walking, and strengthening exercises utilizing resistance tubes, soft balls, and your own bodyweight. Class meets and ends in the Mind Body Studio and includes a cardio walking segment on our indoor track. Start your morning off right with this energizing workout.

Total Body Strength & Core, Sun 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Total body workout emphasizing strength and core. Kick up your heart rate and improve your endurance with one high intensity cardio set.

Winter Sports Conditioning, Thurs 5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Prepare for the snow season with this dynamic group training that includes ample amounts of muscle conditioning, speed, agility, and power work. Using functional training tools, you can expect to take your downhill and Nordic skiing, even figure and hockey skating, to the next level with the strength you gain during these conditioning sessions.

Guided Meditation & Breathwork, Thurs 5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
A quiet time and space to focus on breathing, becoming centered, quieting our monkey minds and setting your personal intention. Class begins with guided breathwork and prompts to help you surrender in a seated position or extended Savasana, a pose of relaxation.

Chen Style Tai Chi, Fri 2:00 p.m. - 2:50 p.m.
The Chen Style Tai Chi is a Northern Chinese martial art and the oldest form of Tai Chi. As presented in our class offering, it is characterized by unique silk reeling energy, gentle flow through the stances and alternating slow and faster motions. The movement is integrative, meditative and soft but provides a surprisingly effective exercise routine.
