The site stretches across the eastern half of a cinder cone with the other half under private ownership.
The property sits above the river and is in proximity to River Rim Park and the Wildflower Neighborhood Park.
It’s bounded by newly developed property on the west with connected trail around the base of the cone and the River Rim PUD on the east.
It is on the southern boundary of both the City of Bend and the Park District Boundary and is designated as an Area of Special Interest Ordinance by City of Bend Ordinance.
