Whether you’re hosting a birthday party, meeting, wedding or public event, you can find the right space for a reasonable price among the dozens of outdoor and indoor facilities available for a rental throughout the Bend Park and Recreation District. We are here to help you throughout the process. Read below to see which type of facility rental could be perfect for your event.
Perfect for small get-togethers. Renters have exclusive use of the picnic shelter. Don’t see the park you’re looking for on that list? It’s a park that is usable on a first-come, first-served basis.
Aspen Hall, Hollinshead Barn and the Larkspur Community Center Event Room are great options for larger events like weddings, corporate retreats and celebrations of life.
Want to host an event that is open to the public? We might have the perfect park for you. Events can range from themed festivals, to start/finish lines for walks and runs, to concerts. If you want to host a sports tournament and need playing fields or courts, check out Sports Fields and Courts.
Run and walk-throughs are public events that pass through a park or use BPRD trails but don’t need any staged space in a park. Please note: BPRD trails can be used for events, but are not reservable and are also open to the public. A Rental Request Form is required for all Pass-Through Events.
BPRD has many fields for baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, flag football, rugby, ultimate frisbee, etc. Whether it’s a tournament, organized practice or a family reunion softball game, BPRD has the ideal field for you. Reservations provide exclusive and priority use of district athletic fields and facilities.
BPRD has many options throughout the year for your party. Recreation facilities like the Juniper Swim and Fitness Center, Larkspur Community Center, The Pavilion and the Art Station at Harmon Park Clay Studio offer spaces and times for parties and celebrations of all types.

Please reference the Park Rental Fees / Solicitud de Reserva de Parques for more information on event fees and additional charges.

Documents for Public Event Rentals:
Athletic facility users must have a reservation for practicing, playing contests, conducting drills, events, tournaments, camps or other programmed activities. Reservations provide exclusive and priority use.
Informal gatherings such as unscheduled pick-up games or family get-togethers do not require a reservation.
Please review all rental documents for rules and regulations of athletic facility use, scheduling prioritization, billing and fees, cancelation and refunds, and other important information. The renter is responsible for being familiar with the information provided in these documents and adhering to the guidelines and general park rules and regulations.
Athletic facilities are available to rent from April 1 through October 31. Here are our primary sports facilities:
Tournament Requests
The 2025 tournament season is full. We are not accepting any new tournament requests at this time.
Submit up to 12 months and no less than 3 months in advance. Tournaments are limited to two consecutive tournament days, including setup and cleanup.
Non-Tournament Requests (i.e., practices, league games, or short-term rentals)
To receive appropriate scheduling priority, requests are due on the following dates:
After the deadlines, requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests must be submitted at least seven days before the first date of the reservation and may not be accommodated if received less than seven days in advance.
Scheduling Prioritization
Facilities will be scheduled based on the user types below in order of priority, as BPRD cannot provide facility space to accommodate all sports organizations. When possible, BPRD will attempt to accommodate all users regardless of priority. As a result, we will consider all requests and schedule time based on priority order that best uses available space.
We also reference the OSAA primary sports seasons as an additional criterion for prioritization among the user types listed above.
Rentals are billed based on the reservation. It is the renter’s responsibility to notify BPRD of any unused facilities before the rental. Recurring field users must notify the district of unused space no less than seven days before the rental date; otherwise, the user will be charged for use.
Short-term and tournament refund policy: Full refund is given up to 30 days before the reservation date.
BPRD reserves the right to cancel or delay any rental due to weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather, reservations may be rescheduled, if possible, at no additional cost. Cancelations due to inclement weather will not be refunded.
Complete the Athletic Use Request Form / Solicitud de Complejos o Canchas Deportivas. Please allow at least three business days for district staff to contact you to determine availability and gather additional information regarding the request.
If you would like to check field availability before completing a request form, please check the calendars above or contact:
Fees charged for the rental of a sports facility consider the administrative cost of reserving the space as well as the impact and any direct services required or requested to support the rental. A 20% fee increase is charged to out-of-district renters.
Rentals with more than 100 attendees, alcohol, and large play amenities may require a deposit, a certificate of insurance and a logistics plan.
Recurring field renters will be invoiced monthly. Tournament and short-term rentals payment process is outlined below:
For specific fees, please see the Athletic Facility Rental Fees.
A certificate of insurance (COI) that meets the Rental Insurance Requirements / Requisitos de Cobertura Seguros Para Reservas is required for tournaments and recurring field use and is due no less than 30 days before the reservation.
Single-day field reservations do not require a COI unless there are more than 100 attendees, alcohol and large play amenities. In that case, a COI that meets the Rental Insurance Requirements / Requisitos de Cobertura Seguros Para Reservas is due no less than 30 days before the reservation.
No person shall possess or consume alcoholic beverages on BPRD property without authorization from the district. If granted, insurance is required to possess or consume alcohol on BPRD property. The type of liability insurance required will depend on the nature of possession and consumption.
Athletic tournaments have additional requirements above and beyond other rentals. Tournament organizers must submit a completed logistics plan and site map, and schedule a pre-event meeting with BPRD staff no less than 30 days before the event date. Additional services cannot be guaranteed or accommodated if the logistics plan is submitted less than 30 days before the tournament.
Please see the Tournament Logistics Plan & Guidelines for additional tournament rental requirements.

For new events, the event organizer must complete and submit a Park Rental Request Form / Solicitud de Reserva de Parques. Events must be secured at least three months in advance, so be sure to leave ample time to submit the request.
District staff will review your proposal to determine suitability of the event being held in a park. Not all proposals are approved. You will be notified regarding your approval status within three business days.
Submit a completed Park Rental Request Form / Solicitud de Reserva de Parques no less than three months prior to the proposed event date. Please allow at least three business days for district staff to contact you to determine availability and gather additional information regarding the event rental.
If your event is scheduled in Riverbend Park you will need approval from the Old Mill District.
The event organizer will receive a confirmation receipt as well as a rental agreement that must be signed and returned to the district. Full payment due date is dependent on group size. Please reference the Park Rental Fees / Solicitud de Reserva de Parques for more information on event fees and additional charges.
Event organizers must attend a pre-event meeting no less than 4-6 weeks before the event date. This meeting will cover the logistics plan, arrange for other district services and schedule a site walk-through if needed.
All events must submit a logistics plan at least four days before the scheduled pre-event meeting, using the Park Rental Logistics Plan and Guidelines, via email to:
A certificate of insurance (COI) is required if the event meets any of the following criteria:
If required, the COI is due no less than 30 days prior to the event date. Please see our Rental Insurance Requirements / Requisitos de Cobertura Seguros Para Reservas for information on the different insurance categories.

You must submit a Pass-Through Request Form / Solicitud de Reserva de Eventos de Tránsito Continuo no less than 2 months prior to the event date. Please include a legible route map with the request. Requests received less than two months prior to the event date may not be accommodated.
